A letter from the publisher

Dear Friends of Points East,

For 27 years we have enjoyed bringing you the best of New England boating, through the hard work of our amazingly talented editors, writers, production team, advertising reps, and delivery team. And you, our readers, have responded with generosity and support, providing the participation and feedback that was the true reward for our endeavors.

But now I’m planning to retire. And since we have yet to find the next Points East owner, I’m sorry to let you know that we have suspended publishing operations. Of course if you or someone you know might be interested in keeping this vibrant community going, please let me know!

We’ve been most fortunate to have the support of many loyal advertisers, and we’re proud that they have trusted us to represent them to you. We are so grateful for their support of our mission, and especially for their friendship over the years.

To our subscribers; thank you for your special level of engagement. Over the next several weeks we’ll be sending refunds for the pro-rated value of your unfulfilled subscriptions.

On a personal note, my wife Joanne and I want to sincerely thank the Points East family for making the past 17 years so rewarding. What a pleasure it has been to be associated with such an amazing team!

Sincerely,
Joe

P.S. Knowing how much Points East is valued by our readers, we’re working on a plan to make all issues available digitally on a thumb drive. This would give unlimited access to the 27 years worth of treasured Points East issues. If you’d like to be notified when this becomes available, please leave your contact information below.

This does not obligate you in any way. It’s just a way for us to judge our readers’ interest in the product.
