Waiting to see what summer brings

Although my wife and I can competently sail our 34′ sailboat ourselves, and there are many deserted anchorages in Maine,  many of the places we typically like to go may not be open and interacting with shore facilities may be difficult at best.  Also, unless one is single handing or participating with only members of one’s immediate family, sailing  does  lend itself to inviting guests and encouraging “‘social distancing.”  Therefore, we have adopted a wait-and-see attitude realizing that sailing this summer may not be prudent.

The good news is I am employed as an engineering consultant, been working out of a home office for 18 years and have often used video conferencing apps to conduct business. Therefore, the current restrictions are not a big adjustment for me.
