Charles Everett Carbral, 95

Charlie died March 23. He was employed in the construction of the old Jamestown Bridge, the Army Corps of Engineers, Wharton and Round House Shipyards in Jamestown, Wickford Shipyard, and Broward Marine in Florida. In 1960, Mr. Cabral built, owned and operated Dutch Harbor Shipyard for 30 years in Jamestown. He also was the harbormaster of the West Passage for 29 years, serving as president of the R.I. Harbor Masters Association for several years. A WWII veteran, he served in the Navy on flight crews on PBYS and B-24s. His base was in England and he flew anti-sub patrol in the North Sea Bay of Biscay.
