This 3rd annual regatta, referred to this year as Penobscot PHRF, was held July 16 & 17 between Rockport and Belfast, Maine. The host Front Street Shipyard was joined by Rockport Marine for the two days of racing and camaraderie. Lynnette, which placed first at the Hospice Regatta took the same honors in Penobscot Bay racing their second weekend in a row with Dreadnought. The wooden boat class was filled out with a third Brooklin Boatyard built boat, Vortex along with Gosling and Mystery. More than a third of the participants had raced in the original event including Fiesta, C&C 40-2 which took a first place in their class, Extra Beat, J/35 taking second this year behind another J/35, Jai Tu. Althea, a Pearson 39, won the cruising class both years.
