The morning rain at Morris Yacht’s Northeast Harbor location gave way to dramatic skies over the backdrop shores of MDI as the Northeast Harbor Fleet sailed the second day of races Saturday, July 9.  Lynnette, a Brooklin Boat Yard 47 took first for the cruising class followed by two J/Boats, Fleetwing and Sidewinder, Far Out a Morris 52 and Dreadnought a Taylor 49.  More than a dozen IODs followed the same course with a long spinnaker run adding bright spots of color to the gray skies. However, spirits were bright for organizers, participants, and supporters of this annual fundraiser for the Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County. Many were celebrated for their 20 years of annual support. Bravo!
