Cataumet, Mass.
“Gramma Jean” died surrounded by family on June 14th. She was the beloved wife of 60 years to the late Raz Parker, with whom she raised a family and established Parker’s Boat Yard, where she ran her own nursery school at the boathouse.
She enjoyed her childhood summers at the New Jersey shore, where she was once selected as “Miss Atlantic City Beach Patrol.” Jean modeled as a young woman until she fell in love — at first sight — with Raz Parker.
Jean loved her time with friends and established a Birthday Club to celebrate birthdays monthly. She also enjoyed boating, swimming, and long dog walks. Gramma Jean is remembered as a beautiful, loving and welcoming woman, who spread warmth, love and joy to everyone with her actions and smiles.
