Monday parade through the Thorofare

It was a lovely fall day on Penobscot Bay after the thunderstorms cleared things out. The Monday parade of schooners through the Fox Island Thorofare was enjoyed by passengers, crew and porch viewers alike! It was led off by an exchange of honks of the Lathrop with the trumpet from Victory Chimes followed by Captain John Foss aboard American Eagle, then the Mary Day with Heritage and Angelique sailing close together. Not to be outdone, two of the ‘green boats’ brought up the rear; Grace Bailey and Mercantile. Don’t you just love parades!?
