Saturday, May 27 everything was ready to try out. In the morning we did some last minute prep, then headed out. The boat ran OK! The Binary Star is 29 yrs old now. Hope for the best!
I caught a nice Black Sea Bass at the mouth of the Thames River. It must have been an early arrival, because there was no other action. The water temp in the Thames was 63 deg.
Out in the deep water the ocean temp was 59 deg. We caught shorts. Peg caught a rather large Ray, probably over 2′ across its wings. I de hooked it for her and released it unharmed.
We went home with one keeper in the cooler, a nice Black Sea Bass. She said sushi on Monday.
