Since 1928 Monhegan Island Race has been the premiere overnight race on the Maine coast. Sailors take on the classic 140 mile Monhegan course taking them from
Casco Bay around Boon Island, out to Monhegan and back to finish at Portland Head Light. A shorter option is to race the 50 mile Seguin Sprint from Casco Bay to the Pilot buoy, out to Seguin and back to Portland Head Light.

Participants will experience the joys and challenges of sailing overnight along our beautiful coast where whales, shooting stars and lighthouses abound. Those on shore can follow the action with the Yellobrick tracking system. This event features the kickoff party on Thursday, the post race reception at PYC whenever you finish and the awards brunch on Sunday morning.
