Gail MacDonald presents: “Morton F. Plant and the Connecticut Shoreline”

Journalist and educator Gail MacDonald will examine the influence of historic Connecticut figure Morton F. Plant on the state’s shoreline. Plant, who inherited his father’s transportation empire, left behind a legacy that includes his summer mansion, Bradford House and the founding of Connecticut College. Macdonald is an associate professor in residence in the journalist department at the University of Connecticut-Storrs. She is a former reporter for the Day of New London and a veteran journalist whose work has been published in numerous newspapers and magazines.

Reception begins at 6 p.m.
Lecture begins at 7 p.m.
