River Run Flotilla 2008
Dates: June 14 - 28, 2008
Boats: 30
Cost: $450
Destination: We'll cruise the New Meadows, Kennebec, Sheepscot, Damariscotta, St. George and Penobscot Rivers. Along the way we'll visit museums, historic sites, boatbuilding yards and the new bridge at Bucksport. Flotilla participants will enjoy discounts at marinas.
Fundy Flotilla 2008
Dates: August 9 - 24, 2008
Boats: 30
Cost: $450
Destination: St. John River, New Brunswick, Canada
We'll start at Northeast Harbor and end up at the St. John River in New Brunswick. This route has been the most popular of all the Flotilla routes since 1999. On the way to the river, we'll visit the lovely fishing village of Cutler for a lobster dinner at the Methodist Church. We'll enter Canada at Grand Manan for a taste of life on an insland. This it's off to Saint John and five glorious days on the river. (You can actually swim without going numb!). When we leave the river, we'll head for St. Andrews, a picture-postcard town of gardens, inns and wonderful restaurants. We'll re-enter the U.S. at Eastport, the easternmost city in the United States.

The flotilla concept
Each season we gather a group of boaters, power and sail, and head out for a destination (or two).
We developed the flotilla concept because we've felt there is a population of sailors who are competent and who would like to see sights outside their usual cruising range but would feel a lot more comfortable going with boats that had been there before and who would like to leave the organizing of shoreside details to others.
The flotillas are led by experienced sailors and are open to sail and power boats.
Flotilla participants are invited to participate in pre-flotilla organizational meetings and educational seminars on various nautical issues that might come up during the trip.
Flotilla participants receive discounts at harbors and marinas while on the voyage. We also plan shoreside activites that include tours of historical sites, dinners and presentations by local experts.
If you would like to sign up for one of the flotillas, you can download a registration form. If you'd just like to learn more without any commitment, sign up for our free newsletter.
